Celebrating A Special Love With My Family

When I visited mom and dad last weekend, I brought Johnny with me. Johnny is my boyfriend of five years. It was not his first time to meet my folks. He spent Christmas with my family last year and the year before that. What's special about this visit though, is that we were planning to announce our engagement. There should be no problem because my parents adore Johnny and my little brother likes him, too. As usual, mom prepared a nice dinner for everyone and when finally we made the announcement, my dad proposed a toast right away. While we were having dinner, a lot of things were talked about, but mostly it was about the wedding which was set early next year. I told them I wanted to spend the honeymoon in Hawaii because I just love the beach and there was this one hotel-resort in Hawaii complete with cottages using Heritage roofing that I so love to see. They were all just happy for me and Johnny. It felt good to share something special with people who matter the most to me.
