What you need to know about citizenship

posted on 11 November 2011

When one is born in a particular family, they can say that they belong there. This is what citizenship can be likened to. Many people may not know what is citizenship. To be precise. citizenship is being a citizen of a social, political, economical community or country. Many times when one is a citizen of a particular country and are proud of it, they will do every thing in their power to make their country proud. That is why you will see the zeal and zest with which sportsmen represent their countries in world sports. Being a citizen means that you should obey the laws of the land and if not you will be prosecuted. There are things that will show to which country you belong and these are documents like identity cards, birth certificates and passports. As a citizen of a given country, the government has a duty to ensure that you are fed, clothed, sheltered and secure. If you in another country and war breaks out, the government should ensure that you are evacuated.

How kids cope with the various changes that they undergo

posted on 19 October 2011

Kids go through a lot when they are growing up and most times, not even their parents understand them. When they are babies, they can talk and say that they are not feeling well or they are hungry, all they can do is cry and it is up to the parents, guardians or nannies to find out what the problem is. When they become teenagers, they think that the world is out to get them. Half of the time, they do not understand themselves, and to make matters worse, people do not understand them either. They get disciplined all the time because this the time that they are very rebellious. When they get punished, they retaliate by running away. Some even go to the passport office so that they can get a passport and get out of the country. They fill the form but still will not get the passport because of the passport eligibility verification. The people working there need to verify that they are of age, and since they are not, they will need to see their guardians there to verify that they give consent to them having a passport. So running away to another country is highly unlikely. Eventually they will grow out of that confusing stage and life will go back to normal.

How Technology Has Evolved And How It Is Making People Lazy

posted on 19 February 2011

I think it is safe to say that technology has made some people to be a little bit lazy and too relaxed to matters of importance just because the internet has a swift way of making things done. These days many companies and organizations have implemented ways that its customers are able to get things done and updated without making a lot of fuss about it. The best example is in the passport renewal process. There are times where you would have to go to the regional offices and filled an application form and then wait for at least three weeks for it to be processed and it might even take a longer process because there was no way to track your passport . Today, there is a way someone can do a passport fast track whereby someone can track their passport online and find out how long it is going to take them to get their passport. Why am I feel that technology is contributing to people laziness? You do not have to get out the comfort of your home or office you can do it right where you are, however, it is all good, since we are not living in the 80s any more.

Travelling to tunisia and worried about catching something

posted on 29 November 2010

Me and my partner are going on a holiday soon to tunisia. We have never been before and we are really excited about it but we have just stopped and thought do i need immunisation for tunisia because no one has told us but i kind of think you do. I have been searching online for hours but no one seems to know for sure. I would have thought being in africa we would need some injections or something before we are allowed to go. I am more concerned because one of my friends went away once to somewhere where she was supposed to get a shot before but she didn't and was refused entry into the country. I do not want to fly all the way there for someone to turn around and say we are not allowed in. I have found some sites which highly recommend getting certain jabs first but none that actually say for sure. I think at this rate we may just end up getting them to be on the safe side.
